Catholic Republican John Kramer wants to find his wife at college before he graduates and returns to the isolation of his Kansas farm. So he dates and falls in love with Jill Rabinovich, a Jewish Democrat who wants to become a Hollywood actress and comedian. John has a few minor obstacles to overcome in order to make Jill his farm wife.
